FO Welding cover (mini splice closure) for drop cables 

FO Welding cover (mini splice closure) for drop cables  is an ideal solution for connecting broken fibers in drop cables. Casings are flexible and heat-shrinkable elements that change their volume under the influence of heat. They are equipped with stainless steel rods that provide additional mechanical protection for the weld and wire. After the shrinkage, the fibers and cables are not only exposed to mechanical damage, but also protect against moisture and all types of contamination.

– Diameter of the shrink wrap opening: 4 mm +/- 0.1 mm
– Outer diameter of the splice sleeve after shrinking: 4.3 mm +/- 0.2 mm
– Diameter of the reinforcing rod: 1.5 mm
– Minimum shrinking temperature: 90° C
– Shrink time: about 2 minutes (at temp. 110° C)
